Cold packs may help to decrease swelling and haemorrhaging by constricting the blood vessels that supply the injured area. Cold packs can be used to reduce soreness, bruising and swelling. They may ease minor burns.

Lupin Seeds
*Therapacks freeze the Lupin seed to below -10°C for 48 hours minimum to ensure any weevils or lave are killed. The seed is ‘vacuum’ cleaned to remove loose husks/chaff/dust/burrs. The coverings are apparel 100% cotton fabric from Charles Parsons. No chemicals are used in the production or cleaning of our packs.
Direction Of Use
For Cold Treatment:
Seal the pack in a plastic bag and place in the freezer for the time recommended on the pack.
For Hot Treatment – Oven:
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Insert the pack into an oven-safe bag.
Lower the oven temperature to 50°C. Place the bag in the oven for the time recommended on the pack. Check the pack at 5, 10 and 15 minutes to obtain the desired temperature.
For Hot Treatment – Microwave:
Heat the pack in a turntable microwave set to High for the time recommended on the pack.
As a safety measure, always place a glass of water in the microwave to reduce the risk of the pack overheating.
WARNING: Never use recycled paper products in microwave ovens unless they are specifically approved for microwave use. Some recycled products including paper towels and even waxed paper may contain minute metal flecks. When a microwave oven is operating, the interaction between microwaves and the metal can cause sparks and even flames.
Cautions/Contra-Indications
Read and follow the directions for use on the pack.
Do not overheat.
Do not apply to impaired-sensation skin.
Do not reheat until the pack has returned to room temperature or reduce heating time by half.
